Listen to Slayer on iHeartRadio

Slayer is mapping out a fall North American tour.  The band's booking agent Scott Sokol tells that after nearly a decade of festival tours and co-headlining runs the band is back to staging their own road trip.

He adds that since Slayer is in control on this tour, they'll be "doing whatever they've been wanting to do for the past seven or eight years," and giving audiences "the full-on, 90-minute-plus Slayer extravaganza."

Sokol explains that fans will "see a lot of material played that you probably haven't heard in a long time, along with a couple of surprises."  He also says Slayer will likely dedicate a portion of their show to their late guitarist Jeff Hanneman, but has no specific details on the tribute.

Slayer will launch their tour in Anchorage, Alaska on October 22nd.  The 26-date trek includes a two-night stand at the Hollywood Palladium, which Sokol says will be "very special" for the group.  He explains that Slayer was banned from the venue after a show 25 years ago, when the crowd "got so out of control that a riot ensuded."  He says the band is "thrilled" to making their return to the Palladium on this tour.
