Co-founder of Bush's Chicken Loses Long Health Battle

PRESS RELEASE: Several years after opening their first location on Hewitt Drive on the outskirts of Waco, Keith and Charlene started franchising in 2005. Over the years they worked to grow the business into a chain of over 85 restaurants expanding throughout the state of Texas.

Charlene knew the success of the business would come from loyal customers in the communities they served. She believed in giving back to each community where there is a Bush’s restaurant. Charlene was active in and generously donated to numerous local charities, including Fuzzy Friends as well as hundreds of schools and churches. She became lovingly known as “Bushbaby.”

Charlene and Keith, her husband of 45 years, donated thousands of Bush’s Chicken meals to deploying and returning soldiers and family’s at Fort Hood during the Iraqi conflicts and the terrorists attack at Fort Hood. Charlene loved and cared for people and demonstrated that love through her undying efforts within the communities she served.

The strong values and traditions that Charlene helped forge, will continue to be a guiding force of the business she leaves behind. http://www.bushschicken.com/
