Houston Texans star J.J. Watt has done a lot to help others in the last two years; helping raise millions for hurricane victims, paying for the funerals for victims of a Texas school shooting, and his under-the-radar charity work. Now his character has been rewarded.
The future hall of famer was conferred with a Doctorate of Humanities by Baylor University this weekend. After being given the honor, he spoke to the graduates of the School of Medicine and said “This is my challenge to you. Help bring out the inherent good in everyone around you.”
On Twitter, later Watt was obviously touched by the gesture saying, “"I've had a lot of dreams in my life, but not even I dreamt that I could one day become a Doctor," Watt posted to Twitter. "I am truly humbled and honored to receive the degree of Doctor of Humanities in Medicine from the Baylor College of Medicine!"Source: USA Today
