GODSMACK SIDE PROJECT RELEASES NEW SONG
Godsmack side project The Apocalypse Blues Revue has shared a new song called "Open Spaces." The track is the second single released from the band's upcoming album, The Shape Of Blues To Come, which is due out on July 20th.
The Apocalypse Blues Revue features Godsmack guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin. The other members of the group are frontman Ray "Rafer John" Cerbone and bassist Brian Carpenter.
Larkin said about the new LP, which follows up 2016's self-titled debut, "We're very excited about this second record. I've never seen four wills join so strongly with one intent as I have in this band. That's something special."
According to the band's official bio, Larkin discovered Cerbone at a biker bar. He explained, "It wasn't a recruitment at all. It wasn't like I was a guy in a big band, and he was starstruck at all. I went over to Ray's house with my wife to have dinner, and I happened to see his guitar sitting in the corner. I didn't know what he did, so I asked him to play a song, and I really loved his voice."

- The new Godsmack album, When Legends Rise, arrived on April 27th and entered at Number Eight on the Billboard 200 album chart. This marked Godsmack's seventh Top 10 debut on the Billboard survey.

PEARL JAM POSTPONES LONDON SHOW AS EDDIE VEDDER LOSES VOICE
Pearl Jam was forced to postpone Tuesday night's (June 19th) show at the O2 Arena in London after frontman Eddie Vedder lost his voice. The band broke the news on social media, writing, "Eddie Vedder has completely lost his voice. He is on vocal rest for the next few days in an effort to heal and perform the remainder of the tour dates."
The band's statement added, ""It's the first time ever having to postpone a show for this reason. Ed and the band are gutted thinking of all the folks who have traveled and made plans."
Pearl Jam's last gig before the hiatus was Monday night (June 18th), also at the O2. The band is currently hoping to reschedule the second London show for mid-July, with tickets for the canceled date remaining valid for the makeup performance.
For now, Pearl Jam is set to resume its European tour this Friday (June 22nd) in Milan, Italy -- assuming Vedder is ready to continue.
