Burt Reynolds' 'Smokey And The Bandit' returns to theaters

AMC  is bringing back Burt Reynolds’ 1977 hit comedy Smokey and The Bandit.

Originally made with a budget of $4 million, it was one of the most successful movies in his career, grossing $126 million for Universal. The film stared Sally Field, Jerry Reed, and Jackie Gleason among others. There were sequels in 1980 and 1983, though Reynolds had only a cameo in the third film.
