It’s the wettest fall on record for Dallas, Texas and that’s just the tip of the iceberg for the Lonestar state.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott is issuing a disaster declaration for 18 counties as the state deals with deadly floods from rains that just won’t let up. The disaster declaration is in effect for several areas of the state recently hit by the heavy flooding.
Some of the counties include Llano, Kerr, McMullen, La Salle, Nueces, San Patricio, and Jim Wells. The governor is authorizing the use of all available resources to aid emergency response efforts. That will certainly help, since the Llano is so high that it collapsed a bridge yesterday. The Colorado River is also well out of its banks. Source:
