He thought he would keep him as a pet, but after suffering from depression after the deaths of several of his friends, Henney found that being with Wally also made him feel better.
After about a months worth of training, Wally is now housebroken. He lives with another alligator, Scrappy, in a 300-gallon pond that Henney put in his living room. While the gator has never tried to bite or attack anyone, Henney does want to remind people to be careful around him because he is, after all, a wild animal. Henney also thinks it's important to remind you shouldn't be keeping alligators as pets in your home.
