There Will Be Lots Of Music In Atlanta For Super Bowl Weekend

Super Bowl weekend is here, and while there are a lot of people who only care about the big game, there’s plenty of things going on in Atlanta this weekend other than football, and that includes a lot of music. 

Of course, the biggest musical event of the weekend is the Pepsi halftime show, which will be headlined by Maroon 5, and feature appearances by Travis Scott and Atlanta’s own, Big Boi . The National Anthem this year will be handed by Gladys Knight, while Chloe x Halle will sing America the Beautiful.

But that’s not the only music set for this weekend. Other events going on in connection with the game include:

  • Tim McGraw will headline the "NFL Tailgate Party" right before the game, with Aloe Blacc also on the bill.
  • The kicked off last night at State Farm Arena, with Ludacris and Migos , with Aerosmith and Post Malone headlining tonight and Bruno Mars and Cardi B set for tomorrow.
  • Foo Fighters will headline DirectTV’s Super Saturday Night concert on a custom-built, three-tiered, 72,000 square-foot venue at Atlanta’s Atlantic Station. The concert will air on the Audience Network, and will also be webcast for free on Twitter The concert kicks off tomorrow at 11 pm.
  • "Rolling Stone" is also holding a pre-Super Bowl bash on Saturday at the Goat Farm Art Center, featuring Ludacris, Young Thug, Gunna and Lil Keed, along with a set from DJ Questlove .
