WATCH: 12-second lightning strike hits same spot repeatedly in Houston


FROM KHOU.com FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — Strong storms and heavy rain pounded Southeast Texas overnight Thursday into Friday, leading to some street flooding, hail and an intense lightning show.

One lightning strike in particular was captured on video by KHOU 11 Reporter Brett Buffington. It shows what appears to be a single lightning bolt striking the same spot in Fort Bend and Waller counties over and over again.

The strike lasted 12 seconds total. You can watch it first and then other incredible lighting bolts in the video player above.

At this time there are no confirmed reports of injuries or deaths resulting from Thursday night's storms, butthere was plenty of street floodingwith cars stalled out.
