The Raconteurs Land First Number One

Rock music is back at number one on the “Billboard” 200 Album chart.TheRaconteurs' latest release, “Help Us Stranger,” moved 88,000 equivalent album units, 84,000 in traditional album sales, to debut at number one, the band’s first-ever "Billboard" 200 number one.

Although this is the band’s first number one, they have hit the Top Ten twice before, peaking at seven with both 2008’s “Consolers of the Lonely” and 2008's “Broken Boy Soldiers.” The album also has the largest sales week for vinyl this year, with 25,000 vinyl copies sold. That number is also the sixth-largest sales for vinyl since tracking began in 1991. 

  • Elsewhere on the chart,Lil Nas X’sEP “7” debuts at two,Billie Eilish’s“When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go” at three,Jonas Brothers’“Happiness Begins” at four andKhalid’s“Free Spirit” at five.
  • Rounding out the Top Ten are:Lizzo’s“Cuz I Love You” at six,Gucci Mane’s“Delusions of Grandeur” at seven,DaBaby’s“Baby on Baby” at eight,ArianaGrande’s“Thank U, Next” at nine andPolo G’s“Die A Legend” is at ten.
