Cannabidiol, or CBD – an active but not psychoactive compound found in marijuana (that is, it won’t get you high) – has been credited with near-magical powers. Its proponents claim that it can combat everything from acne to depression to Parkinson’s disease.

While scientists say that it has indeed proven useful for treating childhood epilepsy and may be useful for curing insomnia, anxiety, and some chronic pain, many of its other supposed benefits have yet to be proven. That hasn’t stopped a lot of Americans from giving it a try.

Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody has launched Moody's Medicinals, his own line of CBD and non-CBD health and wellness products.

Post Malone launched his own Cannabis company called Shaboink on July 4, 2019. In a partnership with California's Hemper, the rapper's line is rumored to consist of flower, pre-roll joints, and vaporizers as well as branded grinders, hats, stickers, etc.

Bob Marley's family is continuing his legacy with a special line called Marley Natural. The line offers a variety of marijuana products for a more mellow or more intense effect.

Longtime marijuana advocate Willie Nelson was one of the first musicians to develop his own strains of weed."I’ve smoked enough and I want to give back,” he said. “Now that legalization is spreading across the country, there’s a great opportunity to build a company that can help a lot of people.”

Tommy Chong– who has released such hilarious songs as "Up In Smoke," "Earache My Eye" and "Rock Fight" with Cheech Marin – developed his own line of marijuana dubbed Chong's Choice.
