Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have booked their next scoring gig. They’re teaming up with “The Social Network” director David Fincher for his next project.
The Nine Inch Nails members will provide the music for his new movie, “Mank.”Gary Oldman will star as Herman J. Mankiewicz in the biopic about the “Citizen Kane” screenwriter, while Tom Burke will play Orson Welles.
Reznor and Ross are planning on using particular instruments for the score to stay true to the 1940s setting. “We’re not gonna be using the modular synthesizer on that one,” Reznor says. “We think we’re gonna be period authentic, [which] creates a new set of challenges.”
