Detective Michael Hutchinson

  In November 2021 Detective Hutchinson, a 20 year McLennan County law enforcement veteran, was diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is an aggressive form of brain cancer. Det. Hutchinson is a second-generation McLennan County deputy sheriff and his son was recently sworn in as a third-generation deputy for McLennan County.

Can't attend but want to donate?

We have had folks contact us about wanting to make a financial contribution to help Hutch. The best way to do that is to mail a check to SLEAMC at P.O. Box 23475, Waco, TX 76712

Benefit Details

A fundraiser benefit is planned for Saturday, March 19 at BASE at Extraco Events Center. The event will start at 6:00 pm and will include music, live and silent auction, as well as raffles and card game-style drawings. All proceeds will go to help Hutch with expenses related to his fight against brain cancer.
