Connecticut Town Has A Christmas Tree Made Of Lobster Traps: A Christmas tree in Connecticut is all lit up for the holidays, but it’s no ordinary tree. It's a lobster trap tree, sitting off the docks in the Stonington Borough in Connecticut. The 35-foot tree is made of over 400 lobster traps and buoys, with each buoy hand painted by New England artists. The tree topper is an anchor. The “tree” is lit with about $9,000 worth of lights and decorated with more than 400 painted buoys. The tree is at the town’s dock. It’s free to the public and open daily from dawn until 9:30 p.m. from the Saturday after Thanksgiving until Jan. 15, 2023. https://www.lobstertraptree.com/
