Metallica Lux Æterna first time live AWMH concert Los Angeles

Metallica debuted some new covers, their new single and jammed with St. Vincent during their Helping Hands concert at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles Friday night.

They opened with a five song acoustic set that saw them do covers of "Borderline" from Thin Lizzy and "It's Killing Me" from UFO for the first time. And towards the end of the electric part of the show they broke out their new single "Lux Æterna." Then St. Vincent joined them to sing and play guitar on "Nothing Else Matters."

Proceeds from the show and the on site auction go to the band's All Within My hands Foundation.
